About Auburn, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Auburn is a city found in Indiana’s DeKalb County. Also called “Home of the Classics” due to the city’s pioneering role within the early automotive industry, about 13,000 people reside here, with children attending DeKalb High School or the private Lakewood Park Christian School. Located on Cedar Creek, the community has had some historical claims to fame. The Auburn Automobile Company was founded here in 1990, and in 1933, notorious bank robber John Dillinger raided the local police station.

There are several interesting places to visit in Auburn. Not surprisingly, many of them revolve around the automotive industry. Visitors might wish to check out the Auburn Cord Dussenberg Automobile Museum, the National Automobile and Truck Museum, or the Early Ford V-8 Foundation and Museum. Military enthusiasts might like to visit the National Military History Center or the Hoosier Air Museum. Visitors who would prefer a more relaxing day often enjoy a stroll through Eckhart Park or a sit-down meal at The Italian Grille or Auburn’s House of Pancakes and Restaurant.

To ensure comfort and safety throughout the year, Auburn residents must have the right climate controls at home. The winter months are cold and snowy, with average daily highs in the low- to mid-30s. Overnight temperatures can fall significantly lower, and some evenings see below-zero thermostat readings. Many residents choose to invest in a high efficiency gas or electric furnace, as systems with high AFUE ratings can lead to significant cost savings in the long run. The right furnace will also offer improved performance and better indoor airflow.

The spring months in Auburn are wet and warmer, and they lead to a hot, humid summer. Temperatures are high, with average daily highs of about 84 degrees in July. Central air conditioning is the preferred method of cooling for most homes, and the right system will provide consistent temperatures indoors while improving air quality.
